I received this pretty quickly. It arrived fully charged. I turned it on and dropped it on the floor, and watched my cats go crazy. They chased this thing all over the house, until it finally got stuck under our reclining couch. It really got itself unstuck from multiple situations until the couch. When i grabbed it to pull it out from under the couch, i pulled the string out. It's just glued into the little socket. I glued it back in place with some craft glue and it's like new again. The toy works on carpet as well as smooth hard floors. It came in a nice box with the instructions printed on the side of the box. It's simple to use, but gets all 5 of my cats in hunt mode. It's fun to watch because the toy changes direction, and the cats go from hunter to hunted. It's a very entertaining toy for a very cheap price. I plan on buying a couple more as back up for when my cats inevitably destroy it. My cats can be heathens. They eventually destroy every toy they get.
